COFFEE TO GO (MTR Shop)
COFFEE TO GO asked for a new concept in store design to differentiate them from the competition, at the same time to also compliment their existing logo. We took inspiration from their logo's horizontal directionality and CTG's philosophy of efficiency, quality and consistency; thus the horizontally stripped theme was born perfectly complimenting all of the said priorities.
To make the store stand out and contrast against MTRs standard grays, we created a memorable color theme that would be consistent in their future MTR location shops, this is central to the concept and challenge of helping anchor the CTG brand. A yellow and a brown was selected straight from coffee bean's natural tones, presenting a welcoming, head-turning, happy, yet refreshing experience for customers and employees alike.
Repeated and modular elements ensured the costs and ease of construction was under control. The horizontal bands also made integration of furnishings and signage much easier. The final outcome is we ended up with a successful store, happy customers and a satisfied client who has since ask us to design a second larger cafe for CTG.
